Public StarGaze tonight

Although I won't be able to make it tonight, the Carolina Skies Astronomy Club is holding a public StarGaze at the Bradford Creek Soccer Complex on Old Pactolus Road in Pitt County.  Go out there and say hi to Bill All, the president of the club and see what he's got his telescope pointing at.  He has also reserved the same location on the evening of August 11 for the Perseid Meteor Shower. Clear Skies!

Greg Eans is an award-winning photographer whose photographs have appeared in many publications across the globe. In his twenty years of experience as a photojournalist and photo editor in the United States he has produced work for and has been published in magazines and newspapers such as Time, People and USA Today and has been featured several times in MSNBC's Photos of the Week. He has also been a lecturer for the Southern Short Course in News Photography. He has won awards for his work photographing the flooding and devastation from Hurricane Floyd in Eastern North Carolina and the efforts to save animals in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in Mississippi and Louisiana.
